Three capabilities.
Sixteen years of shared history.

Kashyap, Ravi and Anubhav bring complementary strengths across consumer brand-building, content-led commerce, and performance marketing — the exact combination BCT's model requires.

Built for exactly this model.

BCT is founded by Kashyap Vadapalli, Ravi Shekhar and Anubhav Sonthalia, who have known each other for approximately 16 years and bring highly complementary strengths across consumer brand-building, digital growth, and content-led commerce.

The team is particularly well suited to BCT's model. Kashyap brings the core brand, category, and distribution muscle; Ravi brings content architecture, audience development, and protocol-to-product translation; and Anubhav brings performance marketing discipline and capital-efficient scaling.

Collectively, the founders cover the three capabilities most critical to making BCT work: building trust over a long content cycle, converting that trust into efficient acquisition, and translating practitioner-led protocols into products that consumers actually buy and reorder.

Kashyap Brand, category & distribution
Ravi Content, audience & productisation
Anubhav Performance marketing & commercialisation

Kashyap brings deep consumer operating experience across Cadbury, eBay, and Pepperfry. His experience spans brand-building, category management, performance-led customer acquisition, private label development, and omnichannel expansion — directly relevant to BCT, where success depends on building trust in a low-credibility category and converting that trust into sustained consumer demand.

  • Spent ~9.5 years at Pepperfry, including as CMO and Chief Business Officer, helping scale the company from ~₹20 crore to ~₹600 crore in net sales
  • At Cadbury, drove distribution and volume growth across Kerala and Karnataka and worked on brands such as Perk, regaining market share versus competitors
  • At eBay, worked on category and marketplace growth, scaling retail exports and helping the business respond to emerging e-commerce competition
  • At Tata Interactive, involved in setting up marketing during a period of significant revenue expansion
  • Core BCT contribution: brand architecture, practitioner partnership structuring, category selection, and commercial scaling across D2C, retail, and marketplace channels

Ravi brings deep marketing and GTM experience across Doubtnut, Purplle, and Vedantu, with a core strength in building content-native growth engines. He was Co-founder of Doubtnut, where he helped pioneer a YouTube-first strategy and scale the platform to ~15 lakh DAU — demonstrating that content platforms can serve as primary acquisition and retention channels rather than just top-of-funnel awareness.

  • Operated a large portfolio of profitable YouTube channels at scale, building strong intuition around what makes content channels authoritative, engaging, and commercially monetisable
  • Advised the founders of Purplle and Vedantu for nearly a decade, including in turnaround situations, adding operating depth beyond pure audience building
  • At Purplle, credited with independently creating the rosemary water category from scratch — ~₹200 crore revenue in 12 months — using YouTube-native content to generate product demand before formal brand infrastructure existed. This is one of the clearest prior proofs of the broader BCT model
  • Will be the architect of BCT's content and productisation engine — including the content-quality scorecard, practitioner persona frameworks, narrative design, and the structured process through which a clinical protocol is converted into a consumer proposition
  • His role is especially important because practitioner selection is one of the most consequential decisions in the BCT model, and Ravi owns the judgment framework for identifying which channels can translate trust into commerce

Anubhav founded Sokrati in 2010 and built it into one of India's leading performance marketing businesses — scaling to serve 200+ brands across e-commerce, FMCG, and D2C — before a ~$100 million acquisition by Dentsu. His profile is particularly relevant for BCT because the model depends not just on audience access, but on converting practitioner-led trust into repeatable, CAC-efficient growth.

  • Led Dentsu's performance marketing practice in India post-acquisition, gaining deep exposure to media efficiency, attribution, LTV management, and scaled digital acquisition
  • Brings M&A and resource-allocation experience, including strategic acquisitions completed during his time at Dentsu
  • The healthcare angle is personally informed: his experience with Type 2 diabetes shaped BCT's underlying belief that while clinical protocols for metabolic disease often exist, the consumer delivery and distribution layer remains significantly underbuilt
  • Core BCT contribution: validation and commercialisation layer — ensuring products are tested rigorously across audience, creative, and pricing before scale capital is deployed
  • Will lead paid acquisition architecture, creative testing, marketing governance, media allocation, and growth infrastructure build-out
